Posts: 15 12/29/08 22:57:33	Tags : None Hi Becky, Love the New Years board! Everytime I come in here it's different. lol Hate to bother you, but working on this page , and decided to post a message. Clicked on preview and the background of the page is black which means I can't see the dadburn text! What did I do wrong? I know it's something simple, but not sure where to look in the wysiwyg to change it, or can just leave it and use white for the lettering. Now normally this wouldn't be a problem, but the family won't think to change the colors so everyone can read what's posted. So, when you have time, will you check it out and tell me what to do? Would like the color to be what's inside the borders; think it's the darksalmon #e9967a. Oh yeah, and to change the text color at the top border. i.e. welcome, name, account, etc. Thank You, Skye P.S. Dontcha just love us msn newbies? lol

Posts: 16 12/30/08 17:26:00	I found it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, you don't need to bother with this problem Becky. Went back in to the wysiwyg and found the source. It helps not to be tired when working on boards; just needed the ole eyes to rest before tackling the dadburn thing. Like the new skin by the way! You are a busy woman! lol Too bad the new ones you make aren't in the Skin Library because this is really nice. Will talk more later [as Becky thinks to herself; hope it's much later] lol Skye

Think it said something about being able to help in migrating your group from msn even though you might have started a board here. Do you happen to know where that thread was Becky? It doesn't look like I'm going to be able to complete transferring everything before msn closes the groups. Let me know when you're not too busy. Thanks! Nevermind..finally found it! Talk about a brain fart! lol Anyhoo, for some reason my triple border is not in the middle, although initially it was and I cannot seem able to put it back in the center. Looked at my other backgrounds and they are aligned fine, but this one is giving me grief. HELP!!! Pretty please! And since I'm on a role here, can you tell me how to take care of this problem? Like how to put them next to the topics that coincide with the icon, and what needs to be done to show text when you hover over that icon? Am I making any sense? Posts: 1684 01/10/09 16:10:02	Hmmm I see your border in the middle on both browsers. Did you fix it already? Oh! lolol on the legend...too cute Skye...first time I have seen that, lolol! And very inventive to put them in the footer . But...there is an easier way and they will work then. Just look up the skin in the skin list. Look to the right of it and click the blue button that says images. When that page opens you will see all the spots to add the images. The ones for those legend icons are called "forum icons" and "topic icons". Just plunk the urls in there and they will appear on your board in the legend box and also in their appropriate spots next to threads. Also if you want them to have different text next to them just go in your Community Settings and click "Edit Labels". You can make them say anything you like. This is handy for the foreign boards but I have also seen people make some cute things too .

Nevermind. lol Yes, it was fixed. Don't really know what the problem was, but just put it in a test board and worked on it. Not too bad at figuring things out if I'm not tired, but you know how that goes. Once I get started on something I hate to quit until it's done. Still have a few problems figuring out the lingo and what goes where, and at times ready to , but guess in time it will start to click. Just get a little frustrated at times when I can't find what I'm looking for to fix a problem. Which is why you all in here get bombarded with my questions. BTW, saw your Beckys2 place, and now I have a clock! I miss my computer [using my fathers] because he doesn't have Paint Shop Pro. Can't edit any pictures [you know, erasing any flecks, etc.], and it's driving me nuts! Got a question. All the images that everyone puts on their skins, do you have to buy software for all that? Had to reread your message to understand it. lol I'm outta here! Thanks so much!

I know you're tired of seeing my name Becky, and I apologize, but you're so good at what you do; helping others! of course, that's not to say the others don't, because you're all fantastic in helping us refugees. have a slight dilemma though. can you check this for me, and tell me what I'm doing wrong? trying to incorporate the msn style background without the plate, etc. which I did, [which may be my problem] but would like to have the beige bkg. in the middle. also, the sidebar is too big! this one and click on sample 2 - CSS code, if you would be so kind. anyway, I know you can help me out! thank you! Think I'm burned out! lol Update: Okay, the consensus is out, I am definitely burned out! After trying to find the thread for the list of all the images for the skins in Yuku, I copied the skin to my list. Then the lightbulb came on and I clicked where it said images, and lo and behold, there they were in all their glory!! Is there a book available called "Yuku for Dummies?" Posts: 22 01/13/09 17:01:18	1. tried to work on the buttons problem, but just couldn't do it. although I found the images to use, they do not work on my board. should I insert the actual boxes and then change the colors to what I want? hmmm...maybe that's what needs to be done. will work on it that way & see what happens. BUT...... 2. doing a skin, but have not found the source to change the text color that is black in the 1st box that reads: It's a Family Affair Reunion. the text under it is black "Hello and Welcome.". this is also a problem in the active users "the who's online," and in the Community Stats [although there isn't a community stats on that board, the text shows black while editing]. looked in the wysiwyg and in html and couldn't find the source to change it. been at it for 2 days trying to figure it out. so, I need help please. HERE thank you!

I just added a help section for the members here. Not that we mind if you post here...it is just that the other helpers that might help you when I am not around..are on the help boards not here, lolol.
